Music

Music is my oldest art form. I'm blessed that the muse calls me in various ways as a songwriter/producer, spanning solo piano, synth-rich sci-fi, pop-rock and songcraft in general.

The Good Old Days

My homage to classic rock, reflecting longingly on the carefree days of youth. Mixed with golden-ears bro Tim Jessup at Chicago's private studio in Sedona, AZ. Written and produced by Jeff Burger (ASCAP). Published by Namaste Ranch Publishing (ASCAP)

Suitcase of Dreams

I was inspired to write this song by a last-minute industry call for a positive road song for placement in a movie. My production is in a singer-songwriter style with a bit of country-road dust on the boots. Written, produced and performed by Jeff Burger (ASCAP). Published by Namaste Ranch Publishing (ASCAP).

In the Streets of Charlottesville - Music Video

We lived in the Charlottesville, VA area during the Unite the Right violence in 2017. In the aftermath, I wrote this song to honor how the community overwhelmingly embraced love, hope and unity in the face of hate. The people of Charlottesville provided a moral compass to navigate the divisiveness and violence that continues to tear at our whole nation. I wrote, performed, produced and edited the music and video. I released under Beliefs Project, the non-profit I co-founded with my wife, Misa Hopkins—dedicated to transforming beliefs that divide and destroy into those that heal and unify.

Dawn's Embrace (Mohanji Birthday Version) - Solo Piano

I wrote this song around 2002 during a solo piano composition period, but was never happy with the recording I made at the time. I was inspired to rerecord it in honor of the birthday of Brahmarishi Mohanji—one of the great spiritual presences currently on the planet—with whom I have been blessed to spend personal time with on several occasions. This new version features my beloved rebuilt 1917 Steinway B as well as... the songbirds of rural lakeside Virginia! Thank you and Happy Birthday, Mohanji!
